Die Airbrush Technik – die Kunst mit Luft zu malen…

Spricht man von der Airbrush Technik, ist hierbei das Auftragen der Farbe mittels Airbrushpistole gemeint. Der Feinspritzapparat ist eine kleinere Version der Spritzpistole. In der Airbrushpistole treffen Farbe und Luft durch ein ausgeklügeltes System aufeinander. Dabei entsteht ein physikalischer Prozess, der die Farbe zerstäubt. Der Arbeitsdruck beträgt in der Regel 1,5 – 2bar. Für Detailarbeiten mit stark verdünnten Farben oder Sprengeleffekte ist ein Arbeitsdruck von 1bar nicht unüblich.

Airbrush ist ein englischer Begriff und heißt zu Deutsch »Luftpinsel«. Es ist ein multifunktionales Wort und beschreibt zugleich drei Begriffe. Zu einem haben wir die Technik, die allgemeinsprachlich als Airbrush bezeichnet wird. Das Werk, das der Künstler erstellt, trägt die Bezeichnung Airbrush ebenso, wie die Pistole auch Feinspritzapparat oder Luftpinsel der für dieses künstlerische Tätigkeitsfeld zum Einsatz kommt.
